CUworld Ratings Guide

Each CUworld community room has been given a rating. These ratings are meant to help citizens of our community find the right place to meet different people.

General Audience
Most parents would find these channels suitable for all ages. This rating does not signify channels designed specifically for children, CU World strictly forbids children under 18 years old to participate in the video chats by themselves. However, children 13 years of age or older may participate when accompanied by a parent or guardian. The rooms Friends and Family are rated G and are for keeping in touch with those closest to us. G rated rooms should be clean, wholesome rooms with no strong language and no sexual dialogue or nudity. 



Parents Strongly Cautioned
These channels may not necessarily contain material that is unsuitable for children, but parents are strongly urged not to let children attended with them. PG rated rooms like the Café rooms are for adults to enjoy talking with other adults without having to worry if children are present. These rooms should be fun rooms for adults to meet other adults to chat or for business meetings. Rooms may contain some strong language, with very little or no sexual dialogue and no nudity.



Mature Audience Only
These channels are specifically designed to be viewed by adults and therefore are unsuitable for children under 18. MA rated rooms like the Barracuda Lounge are for adults looking to meet adults and socialize like they would at a cocktail bar, lounge or club (but without all the distractions). These rooms may contain some strong language, some sexual dialogue, and no nudity.



Adult or Explicit Content
These rooms, located in the Relationships Channel, are specifically designed to be viewed by adults and therefore are unsuitable for children under 18. Children under 18 are not permitted in X rated rooms at anytime, under any circumstances. X rated rooms are for adults only and are NOT MONITORED by CUworld staff or volunteers. These rooms may contain some strong language or explicit sexual dialogue and may contain nudity. Because X rated rooms are hosted by individual CUworld members and are not monitored, CUworld is not responsible for the content or behavior of the room participants.

Private 1 on 1 and User Created Private Rooms
CUworld’s Private 1 on 1 and User Created Private rooms are a great way to have a private conversation with no outside interruptions.  Members who create private rooms are able to invite other members into the room by providing their users name and password.  Room rating is decided by the room creator, participants are required to comply with the CUworld Terms of Use.  Private rooms are not actively monitored.
